A Short Hike Out The Railroad Tracks.
The day didn’t start off very nice, and we got some cold, raw rain, but that may sun peaked out this afternoon and warmed it up real quick here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
I didn’t have a lot of time so took a quick walk out past the ponds and wetlands near my house and onto the railroad tracks.
Even walking quickly still so much wonderful things to see this time of year. Heard the rustle in the leaves, and then the familiar call , and knew another migrant bird was back . And sure enough I spotted one. The towhee.
Also saw some red winged black birds and common grackles. And the plants and trees continue to spurt forth. I love this time of year. have to run now but make sure you check out that almost Full moon if the skies stay clear. Here is the link to some of the photos I took today. https://keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-5/nggallery/blog-photos/railroad-walk-may-1-2015
