Day Four. Scandinavia Adventure. The Rain Didn't Spoil My Arrival In Copenhagen.

            <![CDATA[Sorry folks I started this last night but, wanted to get some sleep, and didn't finish it. My thoughts will now be influenced from the delightful walk I just took through the parks of Copenhagen. And, I found a wonderful statue of the famous Hans Christian Andersen. As my Facebook friends would know, I posted one of his quotes last night.

So anyway, in case any of you didn’t know I have always loved to travel. From the first time I heard an airplane fly overhead I wanted to be on one. Yesterday I traveled by train from Malmo. Over the Oresund  straight, over one of the busiest, and most historic, waterways in the world. I loved the crowded train, packed with infants in strollers. i loved watching them and their parents interact with the folks packed tightly on the train.  It was a enjoyable 45 minute ride.

So on to Denmark and, the pictures. I arrived at a very busy and majestic central station  in Copenhagen.  It was a little confusing getting orientated to the busy streets, and the light rain didn’t help, but I meandered my way to my hotel, 

My room wasn’t ready so I grabbed my camera and just walked aimlessly through the busy streets.  The mixture of the old and new  as I began my walk changed slowly into just the old as it seemed i walked the narrow cobblestone streets back through time.

i wasn’t quite sure of the name of all the old buildings , churches and municipal buildings I passed but they were all impressive. 

I made my way down to the canals and the impressive Christiansborg Palace. Spectacular. It has a long history and is now home of Denmark’s Parilament. Wish i had more time. to explore. I did visit the chapel to get out of another down pour of rain. 

I made my way back though countless shops and outdoor cafes. It rained again but it didn’t matter. I loved roaming these streets. Well my sister arrived here in Denmark and off to explore.
