April Fools From Mother Nature.

April Fools Day isn’t until tomorrow but Mother nature sure played a good joke on us folks in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  We got over four inches of snow here in the Hazleton area and it’s still falling. Not what we wanted after the seemingly endless winter weather we have had. It looked a lot more like Christmas than a few days from Easter. March snow (18 of 25)

Not my kind of weather, but have to admit it sure looked pretty. And late snow is not unusual in our area. We have had many snowy days in April and even a few in May.  You will have that living  up here in the mountains.

I took a  walk under  the woods and the snow covered trees were  like a scene from Dr. Zhivago.   The good news is the days are so much longer now and that strong April sun will quickly  melt this winter wonderland  tomorrow. No complaints from me.   Here is the link to some more photographs from my walk in this late scene snow globehttps://keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-March snow (23 of 25)5/nggallery/blog-photos/late-march-snow-3302015

“…there’s just something beautiful about walking on snow that nobody else has walked on. It makes you believe you’re special, even though you know you’re not.”
