I thought I’d shares some photographs of the waxing gibbous moon that peeked through the clouds here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. gibbous moon-14

It is a mild night for march with temperatures in the 40’s, well above average, so a nice night to watch the waxing moon under the trees in my back yard. gibbous moon-19

In a few days it will be Full Worm or Sap Moon according to Native American traditions,  and will be, if the forecast is correct and the skies are clear,  shinning on a blanket of newly fallen snow.gibbous moon-1

I hope it is clear. I have loved the moon since I was a young child, remembering so vividly the poem I posted below, recited by my parents and they shared the moonlight with me. Here is a link to some more photographs I  took of the moon. https://keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-2017/nggallery/photographs-2017/March-gibbous-moon.-March-9-2017-gibbous moon-23

I see the moon
and the moon sees me.
God bless the moon
and God bless me.
When I see the moon
and the stars so bright,
I thank the Lord
for day and night.
