A beautiful  Spring day here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Puffy cumulus clouds floating in  a deep blue sky was enough for me to sneak out of work early.

Couldn’t wait until the weekend to visit the eagles nest  found on Sunday. Getting harder to see in the nest because of the trees setting their leaves but still able to watch the adult eagle feeding her young. Truly an amazing experience. PPL Wetlands Bald eagle 4 (1 of 1)

Watched the nest for a while, hoping there would be a food delivery but no bird showed up so drove to the PPL Wetlands. always something going on down there.  So beautiful in the spring. The trout lilies are now at their peak and they were joined by violets and other flowers I couldn’t identify. Not knowing their names didn’t make them any less beautiful.

And was lucky to see a number of birds, including robins, red winged blackbirds, sparrows, and what think was a blue gray gnatcatcher and a ruby crowned kinglet. Both very pretty birds. And saw an osprey fly overhead. PPL Wetlands osprey (1 of 1)

Another great day to be outdoors. Here is a link to some more photos I took on my hike. https://keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-5/nggallery/blog-photos/ppl-wetlands-april-28-2015PPL Wetlands (19 of 20)
