No matter how many I see, and I have seen many, I am always awed by the beauty of a sunset and sunrise. Each is similar yet unique. And the sunsets always evoke different feelings from the sunrises.

I walked out to the rocks near my house tonight. As I mentioned in earlier posts, we called these rocks ‘the view” when we first discovered them as children exploring our corner of the world. Back then the tree were much smaller and the view was spectacular. The trees have now grown quite tall obstructing the view of the western horizon and the setting. I may have to do some trimming. sunset (3 of 15)

Still, even with all of the trees a nice place to watch the sun go down and reflect on another day of living. I love the rocks and the thick vegetation. And found that the mountain laurel, our state flower , are in bloom now. There is no finer time to be in the woods of pennsylvania than when the mountain laurel are in bloom.sunset (13 of 15)

So peaceful out there only a few hundred yards from my deck. I didn’t have matches or I would have started a fire. Nothing like a campfire on a cool June night. Nice way to end the day although it’s not over and there should be a nice moon rising in the east in about a half hour. Enjoy!

Here is a link to some more photos i took of the sunset tonight. https://www.keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-5/nggallery/blog-photos/sunset-june-3-2015sunset (10 of 15)
