As those of you following my blog may know, the turkey hens started  showing up in my yard this past  week after a few months absence.  The male gobblers were feeding here all Winter  after they scared the hens  off.

Well this morning the hens and gobblers ran into each other and the gobblers weren’t interested in the bird seed or corn anymore. They immediately started dancing and strutting with their tail fans extended trying to attract the attention of the hens. I threw some seed out, and the hens ran for it, but not the gobblers. They had only one thing on their mind. I was surprised there were no fights between the gobblers. But they just followed the hens into the woods. I could watch them interact all day. The dance of the turkeys, another sign Spring is here. Our local forecast calls for almost a half a foot of snow tomorrow, but it’s Spring  and it seems all the critters out there know it, and I do too. The snow will be gone on Saturday. . And  hoping to get up some photos of some deer who just visited my yard. I love my backyard and I love this time of year.
