Traveled to Philadelphia  this weekend, home of not only my favorite sports teams, lots of history, many good restaurants, but also one of the best art museums in the country.  I have visited many times but still enjoy  taking in the   many works  of art on display.

I especially enjoy the portrait galleries. I am almost haunted  as I stare into the faces of the  many portraits on display.  I wonder who these people were, what time of year did they pose, what were they thinking or talking about as they posed  for the artists, where did they live, where did they die?   So much to contemplate. no matter how many times I visit.

And so many other works by great artists on display here. Monet, Picasso, van Gogh to name a few. And sculptures, furniture and visiting exhibits,, it is a wonderful place to visit.  This is a link to some of my favorite portraits I photographed. https://keepyoureyespeeled.net/photographs-5/nggallery/blog-photos/philadelphia-art-museum-portraits-march-1-2015#gallery/3256fe731bb6948fb14a69c0e8335b76/703

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”
